J’accuse was the second of my blogs after Il Bollettino della Sfiga. It soon turned out to be my main interest enabling me to talk about whatever I feel like every day. It seemed to be a good read since people kept coming back for more (or simply to answer back) – and became more and more of an enjoyable experience. There is no particular aim but to blog, to discover the experience of this newfound medium and use it to the maximum.
J’accuse included various sections including the by now famous “Non Sequitur” which was a depository for those ideas that just need to be blogged. The Maltese corner of j’accuse (Sibtijiet Flimkien) would run ten editions before generating the spin-off blog Kinnie & Twistees that was officially launched on the 10th march 2006, a year after the first posting on j’accuse that was entitled “The Kinnie Generation”.
J’accuse averages 220 page loads a day and could boast of 100,000 hits two years after having debuted on the net. J’accuse also sports a page of memorabilia that can be ordered over the net and detains the record of 0 sales, 0 purchases on the cafepress site. The blog has featured in different articles of the mainstream media in Malta. The description of j’accuse author by Lorna Vassallo as “the luxembourger that smells of gozo cheese” is particularly treasured”.
On 10th March 2007 j’accuse moved home from its Blogger site to the current WordPress hosted blog.
J’accuse is now also a regular column on The Malta Independent on Sunday.
… and on 10th March 2008 j’accuse moved again to another address on WordPress.
